Exodus

We begin a new series for the new year this week, looking at the Exodus.

This is one of the great epic stories of the Old Testament, including the freedom of slaves, plagues, battles with kings, great wonders and miracles, the establishment of a new people, and a new covenant.

This story has continued to inspire us, thousands of years later, including epic movies being made in recent times.

And yet, in the grandness of the story, we could easily miss the greatness of the God who stands behind the story.

The God who sees His people in slavery, and who acts to rescue them.

The God who one day, would enact a greater rescue; to save people from death itself.
